2016 TRMA BAND OF THE YEAR NOMINEE. From the Midwest to Key West, the Trop Rock Junkies have become known as one of the top Trop Rock (beach/party) bands. The band has been nominated for the 2016 "Band of the Year" award by the Trop Rock Music Association plus numerous awards in the past four years, including the Horizon Award, Songwriter of the, Song of the Year, Musician of the Year and winner of the 2014 TRMA Songwriter of the Year (Steve Tolliver).

The band is known for their high energy tropical themed rock, beach, surf, party favorites and three part harmonies. Their "Changes In Lattitude" show is a fun, Jimmy Buffett style show with a mix of Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band and other favorite party covers plus their own acclaimed originals. This makes for a fun, festive, high energy show that pleases all ages.

The five piece band has focused on playing larger festivals and events. Notable performances include Pardi Gras, New Orleans, LA, Stars Fell On Alabama, Orange Beach, AL, Phins Gumbo Festival, Jacksonville, FL; Music On The Bay, Tampa, FL; Jimmy Buffett Concert (Stage B) in Tampa, FL; Jimmy Buffett Tail Gate Party, Atlanta, GA, Fin Fest in Columbia, SC, the Trop Rockin' 4th of July in Anderson, Indiana.Smkin' Tuna, Key West, FL and The Yard (house concert) in Tampa, FL.

Where to begin? I started writing songs at the age of 15... older than some and younger than most, I suppose. I started playing guitar because my older brothers played guitar. None of them ever pursued it seriously but they played because that's just what you did. "Chicks dug it" or something like that. I always found that song writing was a way to express myself and guitar playing was the vehicle to get it out there.
